- Alfredos mind is racing with ideas of Esperanza, and the challenges he still has to face. Carmen and Don Julian are in the adjacent room, They are discussing Alfredo's upcoming marriage and why he hasn't chose a date for it.
- Congrats..
- Don Julian took Alfredo on a neighboring trip, where they met Julia at Judge Del Valle's residence.
- Alfredo meets Julia frequently when he visits Judge Del Valle's house with his father, and he began to fall in love with her.
- Julia and Esperanza both participate in the procession on Holy Thursday. Alfredo's impending nuptials were made known to Julia. Julia gives Alfredo her congrats Esperanza challenges Alfredo about the last few days actions by him.
- After that, Julia return ro her hometown. Esperanza and Alfredo got married and had kids. After 8 years, Alfredo was given a job at the same location as where Julia's hometown is. He looked and eventually find Julia.
- Alfredo realized that he had loved Julia. However, as time passed, his love for Julia also diminished. Although she may have had a place in his heart, his feelings for her will never compare to his love for his wife, Esperanza.
