- I will create a new form of government where we rule ourselves!
- And I'll give us patricians all of the power....
- Please come back! If enemies attack we won't be able to protect us!

- Uhhhh.

- In 509 B.C.E., Lucius Junius Brutus led a revolt and overthrew the current Roman kings. He then made a new form of government for everyone in Rome. But like the greedy patrician like most patricians are, he gave all the power to themselves, and none to us. We were greatly angered by this selfishness.
- We'll write the laws, and one of the consuls have to be a plebeian.
- YAY! THANK YOU!
- During 494 B.C.E., we did multiple protests against those greedy patricians. We then thought of an amazing and smart idea. We marched to a hill and didn't come back to Rome until they gave us power. They had to compromise with us since they couldn't protect themselves if an enemy attacked.
- We were very happy that the patricians agreed to us give power. However, they still had more power than us, and the laws we made only applied to us and not the patricians. So we did even more protests for us to have equal power. They had to agree with us sooner or later.
- In 451 B.C.E., they gave us more power and made it so one of the consuls has to be a plebeian. This change also made it so we were able to be senators. Then in 367 B.C.E., they also agreed to write down laws so they couldn't change them at will anymore. We were even happier because of this.
- Then finally, in 287 B.C.E we were given equal rights. And we could make laws that applied to everyone. We were happy to have equal rights with the Patricians. After many years against we won our struggle for equality.
