  • the roots take in nutrients and water while the leaves take in sun and carbon dioxide. the plant mixes the sun, water, carbon dioxide, and throws out air/oxygen from the leaves for us to breathe! Then it takes the mixture of sunlight, water, carbon dioxide, and nutrients called sugar, and eats it all up! Yum Yum Yum!
