- Catherine is a 12 year old girl who attends OT, Occupational Therapy, with her younger brother David.

- Occupational Therapy
- While in the OT waiting room, Catherine meets Jason, a mute boy her age in a wheelchair. As they talked they became friends.

- Catherine discovers that Ryan and Kristi have become friends, which makes Catherine angry.
- Ryan had made fun of David and got her in trouble before so she doesn't like him for that.

- Kristi invites Catherine and Jason to a community dance that she's helping out with.
- I can't dance, sorry.
- Catherine uses an excuse and says that she can't dance, because Kristi doesn't know that Jason is in a wheelchair.
- Later that day Kristi, who is a girl the same age as Catherine, moves in next door to her.

- Ryan makes David cry by giving him an empty gum wrapper, but Catherine sticks up for him.
- He can have my gum!
- Sorry, I guess..

- When she tells Kristi wht type of things she likes to do there Kristi doesn't think they are good ideas, which makes her miss Melissa more.
- Catherine takes Kristi to her and her befriend, Melissa's, favorite place to go swimming.
