“In the middle of the scar he stood there on his head and grinned at the reversed fat boy. No grownups!”pg.8
“Perhaps there aren't any grownups anywhere. The fat boy looked startled.”pg.8
"You're talking too much,' said Jack Merridew. 'Shut up Fatty."
In chapter one of, The Lord of The Flies, Ralph is more happy than upset, or scared about the situation that they're all in. Mainly because there is no one to tell them what to do, so he can just do whatever he wants.
Piggy, "the fat boy" is not happy about there situation, he is scared, and worried, especially because there are no adults to help them. Also, he's scared of doing a lot of physical things because of his asthma
Jack Merridew is mored happy about the situation, because, again he can do whatever. He is also very mean, and nasty, especially to piggy.
