- Last but not least, here we are at Mr.ADH's house. He is a antidiuretic hormone and he regulates water balance. ADH causes the kidneys to absorb/conserve water when the body is dehydrated
- We just turned the corner to the backside of the neighborhood. Here is Oxytocin's house. She is known as the cuddle hormone and causes milk letdown in nursing mothers and induces contractions during labor. It plays a role in social interaction and bonding. ”
- First up we have Ms.PPL or Prolactin. She lives here on the front side of the neighborhood Stimulates milk production for woman after childbirth and can effect sex hormone levels in ovaries or testes.
- Just down the road is Mr. G or Growth Hormone. He stimulates growth in childhood and is important for maintaining healthy body composition, and maintaining muscle/bone mass.
- Next up...Adrenocorticotropin. Whoa, that's a long name! He stimulates production of cortisol (stress hormone) which helps maintain blood pressure and blood glucose levels
