- Three days ago, the Battle of Bunker Hill went down.
- June 17, 1775 to be precise.
- We won, of course.
- You only "won" because the militia ran out of ammo and were forced to retreat.
- You see, us Colonists were able to fend the British off 3 times. We didn't fire till' we could see the whites of those lobsterbacks eyes. They only got us when we ran from them because we were out of ammo.
- If they would have surrounded us and cut us off, we would all be goners. They could have won right then and there.
- We are still concerned because we lost many men in battle.
- The rebels didn't have as great of a loss as we did. That's saying something for a bunch of untrained volunteers.
- - Letter From the King -Us British won this battle. It took us 3 tries up the hill to finally storm off those colonists. We lost many men, but we still have victory. We were able to pick off the colonists when they were running from us down the hill.Yes, their was a military mistake, if we would have surrounded the rebels, we would have had this war won. We need to start thinking these things through so we don't risk innocent lives.Don't fear, we have this under control and the rebels will be British once again, very soon.- King George lll
- Well, the King summed it up. In my and many others opinions, we won this battle due to the men killed on the British side. We will get them next time and we will soon be free!
