- hello my name is sam . i live in japan and i ma a ordinary farmer . we farmers in japan practice intensive subsistence farming . let me show you how its done
- japan is a very densely- populated regions of the world and so the farming is very intensive here
- the land holdings here are usually small and large amount of human labour is required we use simple tools for farming as farm machines are rare
- hi my name is sam and i am a 19 year old man who works as a farmer with my friend to earn and feed my family
- farmers here make optimum use of land .let me tell you the process of growing crops here
- my family lives near the farm lands in TŌNO (Tōhoku: East from Morioka).
- some methods we use to grow crops are - irrigation, high yielding varieties of seeds , natural manures and chemical fertilisers
- the man behind me working is shin he works for the same reason as i do
- major crops grown by me with the help of this method are - rice, wheat, millets, cotton and sugarcane
