- The Declaration of Independence!!
- Marlina is sewing uniforms for the men in the Revolutionary War, while Amy is cleaning, cooking, washing dishes, and doing laundry. She also takes care of her daughter while at home.
- The British are coming!!
- Amy is helping a wounded soldier because he was shot during the war. She was very skilled at this job. Amy helped a lot of wounded sildiers during this time.
- Is that our new flag?!! What do the stripes represent?
- They represent the thirteen original colonies!
- Amy used her writing skills to punlish articles in support of the patriots and against the injustices at Great Britain to help gain support for the war. She is a punlisher at the Baltimore Post Office from 1775 to 1789. She was the second printer to print the Declaration of Independence.
- Amy warns this soldier that Genral Howe has planned a suprise attack on Washington and his army!!
- Amy hand stitched the first American Flag!! This flag was based on the idea that all colonies were equal.
- Amy was one of many women who decided to dress up as a man in order to fight in the war.
