- Always check before hand if there are going to be drugs or alcohol before going to a party. The other person might not always know but the best tool for refusal is to not put yourself the position to have to refuse drugs or alcohol

- To refuse it is good to just say no. It is also helpful if you stay with a friend because they can back you up.

- Another good way to refuse is to tell a little white lie to get out of the situation

- Then if all else fails, it is good to know that you always have the option to leave
