Motivation is the reason why a character acts, feels, and thinks a certain way. This characters motivated by the death of his brother, we can find that from the text within the picture.
A parellel episode is the repeat of certain elements or events in the plot. This is a parallel episode because in one scene, character 1 emerges triumphant from the fight. In the second scene, the fight repeats itself, but this time character 2 emerges triumphant.
