- Then, they held a competition with each other.
- Athens wove a picture of gods and goddesses. She wove all the positive features: heroic, handsome, generous, clever, and kind.
- But Arachne wove a picture of the gods dressing up, squabbling, and being lazy.
- It made Athene very angry and turned Arachne into a spider.
- At last, she became the first spider due to its boastfulness.
