Deforestation of the Amazon is affecting levels of Co2 because the Amazon absorbs one third of co2 in the air, and the less trees, the more carbon dioxide. Although peoples efforts to stop deforestation, the government is focused on economic development.
Many animals are pushed out of their homes because of deforestation which will cause them to move to places up north but higher co2 levels are changing the path.
Most animals eat plants and leaves and rely on forests to supply these but if trees are being cut down then they cannot have lots of food sources.
Many people do not understand that the deforestation of the Amazon can help economic development and the environment at the same time. The evidence for this is that recently in Connecticut many power plants were cut and Connecticut made lots of money and saved the environment.
The deforestation of Brazil makes lots of money but affects the environment vastly and may affect the economic development and increase it.
an example of how deforestation affects animal life is the Poison Dart Frog. Almost 50% of Poison Dart Frogs live in the Amazon Rainforest trees. These animals are now endangered mostly because of the deforestation of the Amazon. Also the ecosystem is affected because the poison dart frogs eat rodents and insects so their population is going up.
