Storyboard Text
- Edward is a highway patrol for the city of Tyler, Texas. He lives with just his girlfriend, whom he dated throughout college.
- Edward excitedly gets ready for his first day downstairs, making sure not to forget his morning coffee. Ed is only 22 years old, as he just gradated college the previous year. He cannot wait to see what his first day of his dream job will bring him.
- Of course Officer. I'm sorry, just running late to pick my buddy up for to hang out.
- Hey there! You seemed to be going pretty fast back there. You mind if I grab your license, registration and proof of insurance?
- Oh no worries, I'm just gonna issue you a warning. Make sure you keep the speed down and be safe out there
- As Ed is driving around on his first patrol, he sees a speeding car. Doing his job, he lights them up. If in compliance, and without any priors, i'm sure Officer Ed will just issue a warning
- My apologies officer, I was not meaning to intrude on anyone.
- After the traffic stop is completed, Officer Edward gets a radio call to get check out a suspicious persons a couple miles away. So, he heads over.
- Your fine. Just be safe out here. It can get dangerous at night. Best wishes.
- After speaking to the man a bit, he understand that the suspect is just a homeless person that took to the bench for the previous night.
- Put all the money in the bag!
- While in the isle looking for a snack, Officer Ed hears shouting. As he turns the corner he can see a shaggy haired guy ordering the clerk to put money in a sack with a gun drawn. This happens every now and then, but he was not expecting it on his first day! Much less with him in the store.
- He musters up his courage and knows he has to help. He heads for the checkout station. As soon as he sees this, he then pulls his firearm and orders the robber to drop the gun. The man complies and Officer Ed makes his first dangerous arrest.
- Drop the gun and put your hands in the air!
- After a successful first day, Officer Ed heads back to the station. He knows he has quite a bit of paper work ahead of him after what happened at the grocery store. Ed is glad everyone made it out okay and he was there to help. He cant wait to tell his girlfriend about his action packed first day!
- *Whistles*
- After this encounter, Officer Ed decides to swing by the local grocery store to pick up lunch as its getting around 1:00 PM
