- This is Buddah and his name at birth was Siddhartha Gautama. He is the founder of Buddhism. Buddah means "Enlightened One."
- How did Buddah become the "Enlightened One?" One day he got deeply into meditation, and reflected his life experience. Then he finally achieved to be the "Enlightened One." He also said he found a path for over coming suffering.
- Four noble truths.1. Everyone suffers.2. The cause of suffering is wanting things (greed)3. To end suffering you must stop wanting things (greed)4. Follow the eightfoldThis is what every in the culture believes
- He left home on his own. Leaving his family in despair. He abandoned his horse and cut his hair. He became a very religious man.
- Buddah's death, buddah dies from a "blow out" or peace from not wanting anything more. Diples are made to pass on his theachings.
