Steven is in denial that his brother has cancer by thinking the doctors are wrong and made a mistake.

Steven is mad because his dad is not talking to him, his mom and brother are not with him and took a vacation with out him, and mad with everyone around him. 
Acceptance

Jeffery is in a bargaining state of grief when he's trying to make deals with God and make this go away.  
Summary 
He is in depression state by him giving out and crying on the couch with his mom and dad. 
Steven has accepted that Jeffery has cancer and trys to cheer up Jeffery. 
Steven goes into in and out of different stages of grief.
