- A young seagull was long due for his flying lessons. But he wasn't the only one with the assignment, his brothers and sister were to fly as well!
- Well as the day of flying arrived, his brothers and sister made it! They flew with their parents circling and cackling proudly, But the young seagull was left stranded on the ledge not being able to take a flight.
- Every time he ran to the periphery of the ledge, and attempted to fly, he was daunted by the vast sea that spread across the horizon. He felt his wings wouldn't take his weight!
- The little helpless seagull was left alone without courage and food on the ledge. His family taunted him whenever they passed close by him. As the Sun was ascending the sky, the seagull tried to get his family's attention by pretending to fall asleep, but unfortunately, none noticed.
- His mother saw him and enticed him with a piece of meat. He begged her to feed him. All he got was more gibes. At last his mother took a piece of fish flew to him but stopped straight in front of him where he couldn't reach the piece of fish.

- He wondered why his mother wouldn't come any closer. But maddened by the sight of food, he dived straight for it. For a jiff, he thought he fell but then he flew! His wings cut through the air. He knew no limits. And he skimmed the waves of the sea that once terrified him.
