- Interest groups are formed to promote the interests or concerns of their members and to put pressure on lawmakers to invoke change. The NRA interest group supports gun rights and carrying.
- A political party is an public organization that focuses on a wide variety of issues. A good example of this would be the majority of the Democratc party for gun control.
- Interest groups are private organizations and their main goal is to invoke quick change and fast laws.
- While political parties are public organizations that encourage change over time, on its own agenda. Most of the people in the parties stick firm with their beliefs.
