  • ON SET...
  • Harrison breaks onto the set of the news and claims that he is the emperor. There was the shriek of a door being torn from its hinges. This is a personification that shows how loud the sound of the door being ripped off it's hinges was. The film crew cowered in front of him, scared of what Harrison might do.
  • HELP!!!
  • I am the Emperor! Do you hear? I am the Emperor! Everybody must do what I say at once!
  • Harrison claims that the first ballerina who dares rise up will be his empress. A moment passed, and then a ballerina arose, swaying like a willow. This is a simile that shows that the ballerina was hesitant in getting up, but she did. Harrison removes her handicaps to reveal her beauty.
  • Maybe I should be his empress?
  • Everyone shall listen to me!
  • I shall now choose my Empress!
  • Diana Moon Glampers, the Handicapper General, whose beauty is described with a simile. "She was blindingly beautiful. She looked like the queen." This simile compares her to the queen which shows her authority over others as well. She went into the studio with a gun, and shot both Harrison and his empress. Then the Bergerons’ television tube burned out.
  • Who does he think he is?
