- Dairy Farming is a type commercial agriculture.It is the rearing of dairy cattle to produce milk and milk products
- This type of farming is mostly found in the UK, Denmark, the Netherlands,Belgium, Switzerland,Northeastern USA,Southeastern Australiaand New Zealand
- Larger farms create more profit off of the cows. The amount of cows depends on the amount of profit you make in each farm.
- Dairy farming requires human labor even though they have access to lots of machinery. Farmers are required to milk the cattle and ensure that the milk is quality and safe for human consumption by following the standards. They are expected to feed and breed the cattle as well.
- How does this benefit us?Dairy farmers reuse waste, they conserve water, they create new cow diets that reduce odor, it allows them to hold strict environment standards and they spend their own money to find new ways to protect the natural resources of dairy
- So...What exactly is the purpose of dairy farming? Dairy farmers extract the milk from cattle to create dairy products such as milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, and other items that include dairy. Human consumption of this food being produced is a positive because people need to eat.
