  • Townshend Revenue Act
  • The British made a law that said all items had to be stamped to show that a tax paid. There were newspapers, legal documents, and other products that were made with paper. The colonists didn't like this so they refused to buy the items. The British then cancelled the stamp act.
  • Quartering Acts
  • The Declaratory Act said that Parliament had total authority over the colonies.
  • Intolerable Acts
  • "They are going to regret this. Them rebelling is unjust."
  • The Townshend act imposed on the British china, lead, paint, glass, paper and tea that was imported into the colonies. Colonists tared and feathered tax collectors.

  • After the Stamp Act was imposed the Quartering Act was passed. The Quartering Act required the colonies to allow housing, food, and drink to 40,000 British troops in the American colonies.

  • When news of the Boston Tea Party reached London, King George III Realized that Britain was loosing control over the colonies. This lead to Intolerable Acts being put in place.
