Robert Hooke- While studying a cork underneath a microscope, he discovered microscopical rectangles, which he called cells.
Fun fact: Not only did Robert Hooke help contribut to The Cell Theory, but he created The Law of Elasticity

Robert Brown-He was the first scientist to discover the nuclei of cells.
