- Yeah sure! This type of agriculture is practiced for domestic consumption of the farmer. No commercial sale is involved. It is classified into 2 types primitive and intensive
- Traditionally, primitive farming uses low technology and house hold labor and produces small output of crops.While intensive subsistence farming is the form in which farmers must expand a relatively large amount of effort to produce maximum feasible yield from a parcel of land .

- Well I have even heard of shifting cultivation, but can you tell me what is it?
- It is a primitive method. It is practised by tribal living in the dense tropical forest.
- They clear a patch of forested land by cutting and burning the trees and bushes. This is slash and burn agriculture. Cultivation is done on clear land. Mostly tuber crops are grown together with some maize and millets. After years the soil gets leached or covered by weeds and becomes infertile . Then they shift to another patch and clear it.Well this form leads to deforestation and soil erosion
