  • I think that I'm just going to have to expand my land! Ooh I know we can just bring in more slaves to do the work!
  • This was the time when every farmer was involved in the triangular trade route. Mercantilism (import more than export) had just been introduced and overused to help with more profit. This farmer right here represents someone who was importing raw sugar material to grow his land in exchange for money.
  • As his business grows, he gets more land and buys Native American slaves from the Triangular trade route.
  • More people become consumers of the farmer's raw sugar material and demands him to grow more. During this time raw sugar material was very important to both the empire and its consumers.
  • Oh no! My profit has gone down so much...
  • As productivity increases, so does his profit and land.
  • The Native American slaves that were brought in from the Triangular trade route, started to die off because of diseases such as small pox from the Europeans.
  • As productivity declines and so does the farmer's profit.
