- Pony, Johnny and Dallas are at Dairy Queen getting some food. Dallas handed Pony a letter form his brother Sodapop. Dallas eventually said that Cherry Valance would be their spy. Pony and Johnny were very confused by that.
- Come with us!
- Get out of there!
- It's ok!
- The teacher: Who?
- Johnny, Pony, and Dallas went back to the church after they were done eating. When they got to the church it was on fire because of a cigarette. And there were lots of people their. They were teachers and their children were stuck in the church.
- The teacher: It's ok, you be ok.
- Pony: Where are we?
- Pony: Where is Dallas and Johnny?
- Pony moved like the wind and hastily slammed a big rock at the window. To get in to save the children. Because this fire started because of them and he felt tarble about it. He did not know Johnny was following him in. Dallas was not a fan of them going inside there.

- Pony and Johnny grab each children one by one. The children were screaming their heads off. Than when they were done they were trying to get out. But it was very difficult and they had problems. When POny got out Dally smacked him. Than Pony passed out. Then Dally went to get Johnny out.
- Pony woke up and saw the teacher, that was at that church fire. He said that what pony did at that fire was very gallant of him. To save their children. Pony than said were is Dallas and Johnny are they all right. He sid which ones which. They are in the two albuens behind them he said. He than said that dallas stop a fire that was on pony and then save Johnny's life. But Johnny is injured pretty bad because of a large piece of timber that fell on him. And that towheaded kid got his arm burned pretty badly getting Johnny out.
- When Pony, Dallas and Johnny got to the hospital. Pony saw both of his brothers Darry and Soda. It was a bolt of the blue to them. All of them were looking unfathomable. THat they thought it was impossible how they found each other. Darry and Pony made up because now Pony understands Darry. That when Darry yells at Pony he was just worried about him.
