Korean-American officer Yu-Gyong Kim is at guard duty alongside a fellow comrade. It is aprox 1300 hours, on the 6th of June, 1967, when the battalion is ambushed by Viet Cong.

In the middle of the night at 12, Yu-Gyong and Demetrius Fargo plan their escape. They successfully evade the enemy guards.

On October 2, 1969, around 2 years later, Yu-Gyong Kim is awarded the Medal of Valiance and Bronze Star Award.
