The Impact of the Crusades on Jews
The Jews suffered great hardship and led miserable lives. In some places the whole Jewish communities were looted and murdered. Their Holy house (synagogues) and Holy books were destroyed. They were forced to convert to Christianity. To prevent from such forced conversion some Jews killed their children and themselves. They were either forced to flee their town or segregated from the rest(ghettos). The non-crusaders also prejudiced against Jews(anti-Semitism).
