- In this scene Carlson walks in complaining about the dog and offers to shoot the dog and Candy finally agrees.
- Candy, I'm tired of your dog stinking up the place, ill make it quick
- In this scene Candy is crying because he feels bad that he is not the one who shot his dog.
- I should have been the one to do it George, I shouldn't have let a stranger shoot my dog
- Who you think you're laughing at??
- In this scene Curley gets more upset at Lennie smiling and takes it as Lennie laughing at him, but in reality Lennie is thinking of the house George was explaining.
- Thinking about the house they'll live in.
- In this scene Curley starts hitting Lennie and then George tells him to get him so Lennie grabs his hand and will not let go and ends up breaking if not all but most of the bones in his hand.
- Get 'em Lennie
- In this scene Slim tells Curly that if he tells anyone that Lennie was the one who did it or try and get them fired he would make a laughing stock out of him.
- Your hand got caught in a machine.
- In this scene George reassures Lennie that he didn't do anything wrong and that Curley had it coming. Also that George wasn't upset at him.
- I did want to hurt 'em George, I really didn't.
- Its ok Lennie, you ain't done nothing wrong it's not your fault, I aint mad.
