Storyboard Text

  • I am not doing any crime, officer. I am just waiting for a friend whom I had promised to meet twenty years ago.
  • Well, my best friend's name is Jimmy Wells. He is the best chum and finest chap in the whole world. Twenty years ago, we had promised each other to meet at the same place and time no matter what our condition would be.
  • Yes, he would surely come and meet me only if he is alive. He is the most truest and staunchest man I have ever seen. I have come a 1000 miles from Chicago just to meet him, and it would be worth it if he shows up.
  • Sounds pretty interesting! But twenty years is a long time. Are you sure that your best friend is going to come and meet you?
  • You bet! I think that Jimmy has also done pretty well to make a living. He is kind of a plodder but still a good man. I am sure he will come to meet me.
  • Did pretty well in the West, didn't you?
  • Alright then, I will be on my way. Do make a phone call to him just to make sure that he will be present here.
  • Is that you Jimmy?????
  • Is that you Bob?????
  • Long time no see, Jimmy! You have grown up a lot. Well, my business is growing up a lot and I have been earning a lot of money lately. Well, what about you? What job are you doing?
  • Yeah, even I am doing pretty well. I have a job in one of the city departments.
  • You are not Jimmy Wells! I agree that twenty years is a long time, but not long enough to change a man's nose from a Roman's to a pug's.
  • What?
  • You have been under arrested for 10 minutes, Silky Bob! Now before we go to the police station, read this note. I was asked to give it to you. It is from Patrolman Wells.
  • "I was at the appointed place on time. When you struck a match to light your cigar, I saw the face of a wanted criminal in Chicago. Somehow, I couldn't do it myself, so I went around and got a plain clothed man to do the job."
