- Jim Gallien had driven four miles out of Fairbanks Alaska there was a man looked like hitchhiker standing there with his thumb up shivering in the gray Alaska dawn
- the Hitchhiker swung his backpack in the bed of the truck he introduced himself as ¨Alex¨ Jim was looking for a last name but ¨Alex¨ could not come up with one and ¨Alex¨ just responded Just ¨Alex. Jim asked him were was he heading to the edge of Denali park. Jim try to convince ¨Alex¨ that you would not survive out there. ¨
- When ¨Alex¨ left Jim Gallien gave him old pair of rubber work boots and persuaded ¨Alex¨ to take the boots and he did Jim told him to wear two pair of socks so your feet will stay half dry>
