- After drinking the posion from the cup, hamlets mother had died. Her death was not on purpose and was a mistake.

- As Claudius is poisoned, he tells hamlet something. He tells hamlet that the poison that has also affected him will kill him within thirty minutes. and that the potency of the poison is so strong that no medicine could fix him in time

- Hamlet is very mad that his mom was accidentally killed. so he decides to shove his hands covered in poison down the throat of the man who did it

- Horatio now also wants a swig from the cup but is persuaded by hamlet not to follow the rest of the dead in the room. Horatio then informs Fortinbras what happened etc.
