- okay great! moving on. now 65.5 degrees north of the equator is the arctic circle. 65.5 degrees south of the equator is the antarctic circle. these circles are also known as the temperate zone. the areas that are located within the temperature zone have warm/cool summers and cold winters. they usually experience most/all seasons.
- given the fact that we experience warm weather almost all year round, that means dubai is in the tropical zone.
- yes well done. there's only a few more things to know and you're all set. above the arctic circle and below the antarctic circle are what we call the polar zone. this region is the coldest and are about 90 degrees from the equator. they get no sunlight for almost half the year, and when they do receive sunlight, it's very little. now to sum it all up, the main latitude zones are tropical (tropic of cancer and capricorn), temperature (arctic and antarctic circle), and the polar zone. that's all. any questions zaid?
