- I'm at my sisters play and all of a sudden everyone is throwing flowers. The flowers got me thinking about photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
- I decided to tell my sister that were all connected between the flowers. If it weren't for the sun, we wouldn't be alive. All these molecule transport and energy flow transports are crucial. With an optimal amount of light energy and ATP, all our life processes will happen in plan and orderly well to fit our daily lives.
- Later that day im thinking about The flower converts light energy into chemical energy using it's plant cell organelle, chloroplast. This process called photosynthesis uses carbon dioxide and water to release glucose and oxygen. These products go into the mitochondria where the energy is the converted into ATP to use for life processes.
- When the products, glucose and oxygen, are released, they go into the mitochondria, which is also in animals cells, to which the process of cellular respiration occurs where carbohydrates are broken down and ATP is created. Cellular respiration comes in two forms which are anaerobic and aerobic respiration. Lactic acid fermentation is a form of anaerobic respiration which occurs in muscle cells for me and the performers.
- I'm taking a walk outside, and I realize that even when I'm just talking a walk I'm emitting CO2
- Later that day, I went to my friends house and got her a flower and told her all about my sisters performance was and what I learned about flowers!
