yes actually, learning about the Canadian Criminal Justice system is one thing, but now i actually have to apply what i learned.
aw don't sweat it kid, you'll be fine. Besides, we only deal with the pre-charge side of things anyway.
what's the matter ? Nervous about your first day on the job?
The media has been crazy with this case. Isn't that just the worst!
Do you think he did it?
well it is innocent until proven guilty. However, there is a lot of evidence that leads right to him. It all depends on the judge & jury.
Well no, the media is actually really important. As it is a news source that is the most convenient for majority of Canadians.
Wow that doesn't sound like a good thing!!
That's right, I always stay up to date with current events because of social media. But they can't always be accurate right?
No, most of the time the source is biased, which can be bad as it may stray away from the truth. This leads to the public being misinformed.
It isn't!! Luckily this is merely a provincial matter, so it isn't that crazy!!
I wonder if people are going to be biased towards me because I am now a police officer.
With ACAB, and other movements that exist, we must insure to do our job with no bias so it is fair and the public can trust us as it is our responsibility to ensure the safety & security of the community.
What about the bias against police officers?
Well that is a complicated matter. There is a lot of negative thoughts about us
So even though our role isn't as significant as the role of a judge, it is still significant?
.. our role is still very important. The Canadian Criminal Justice System was made like this for a reason. It wouldn't be as efficient in any other way.
That is correct. Even though there are more important roles in the Criminal Justice system...
Wow thank you so much, I now feel confident in my responsibility towards this job.
