Ok, so today class we are gonna learn about the history of Pi!!
Circles are COOL!!

The first people to estimate pi were the ancient Bablonians
Ok, so I have these clay tablets but i dont know what i should multiply the radius by to get the circumference and area
Try 3.125.
Babylonia 1900-1680BC or so
The next to try were the ancient Egyptians in 1650 BC
Egypt 1650 BC or so
We think the magic circle number is about 3.1605
Next came Archimedes of Syracuse in 287 BC
Based on what I know about shapes and math, the *magic* circle number is 3.141592653589...

Next came William Jones in 1706 and he name the fancy circle proportion a fancy name
That magic circle number now has a name and a symbol. The name.....Pi
Last but not least in 1949 a large fancy computer started finding pi!
