- della was sad because she had only $1.87 to buy Christmas to her husband Jim
- Della sat on an old couch crying and wondering how am i going to buy a present for Jim its chirtmas eve and i dont have any money
- Della suddenly got a great idea she had very beautiful long hair and then she wanted to sell it to get enogh money to to buy jim a present
- Della cut off all of her hair and they gave her $20 della was extremely happy and bought jim a chain but she was worried because jim loved her hair
- when jim came back to the house he saw that Della's hair is gone he was suprised and he gave her combs for a christmas gift she had no hair to cobs and then she showed him his matching chain to his expensive watch he said that he sold it to buy her the combs
- they laughed and they had a fantastic Christmas eve
