- Marji is telling her teacher that she wants to be a prophet when she grows up. This is significant because it shows how important faith is to her and her morals of wanting to help others. It impacts her life because her dream is giving her something to look up to. If this had not occurred, Marji would not have God to rely on when she is feeling hopeless.

- Marji's new roommate only speaks German. Marji doesn't know German so they talk in pictures. This is significant because it shows how Marji can easily adapt to situations. This impacted her life because she learned she would not fit in with the rest of the girls at the home. If this event would not have occurred, I think she would've not moved homes as much.

- From then on I spent whole days and nights at their house watching TV. (Satrapi 325)
- Tehran has satellite tv now. Marji has become so addicted to watching shows that she has stopped focusing on her education and the war going on. This is significant because it is distracting her from the things that are happening in her society. It impacts her because she is not focused on her degree. If this did not happen then she she would probably be done with her education.
- When I was younger and bored in mass, I would imagine myself as a saint. This is significant because it kept my mind busy when I couldn't pay attention in church. If it had not occurred, I feel like I would've been really bored and would not have a place for my mind to wonder off to. This is similar to Marji's life event because it shows we both value religion.

- In Spanish class, I was paired with a girl who didn't know much English for our project. We communicated by google translate to complete our project. This is significant because her and I had to find a way to share ideas with each other. This impacted me by calling attention to the language barriers people may have. If I was not paired with her, I would've gotten a worse score on my Spanish project. This is similar to Marji's experience because we both had to figure out a way to communicate.
- During online learning, I was really distracted during classes and would often fall asleep. This is significant because it shows online learning was difficult for most people to stay focused on their education. This impacted my life by affecting my grades. If this did not happen, I think I would be much more successful in school. This is similar to Marji's experience because we were both distracted from our education.
