- He chose fourteen in all, and led them down to their boat.

- Heard how Grendel filled nights with horror And quickly commanded a boat fitted out,
- As the knights travel to get to their destination they see their destination so close but so far at the same time
- Now go to him as you are, in your armor and helmets, but leave your battle-shields here, and your spears, let them lie waiting for the promises your words , May make.”
