- It was a nice summer day, the beavers lived in a perfect environment with many trees surrounding them and a river close by. Some beavers have dark brown fur with large teeth and big feet. Other beavers have light brown fur with long tails. Everything was going amazing until...
- All of a sudden a terrible flood has hit the beavers habitat and split them into two groups. One group got stuck in the flood and had to stay where they were. The other group got pushed away from the flood and floated down the stream. Geographic isolation separated them.
- Once the other group got to land they got struct by a horrifying mountain formation. Many damage has been caused to the land which will make it hard for them to survive. A lot of the plants have been destroy do to the formation.
- The water beavers had many variations in their population and environment. The ones with long tails and light brown fur traits lived and the ones with different traits died off. The long tails help them swim faster in the water which helps them catch prey quickly. The light brown fur helps them blend in easier. It also kept them away from predators.
- Same with the land beavers they also had big changes in population size and environment. The ones with long/wide teeth and big feet traits survived and other ones with different traits died off. The huge teeth help them destroy big trees which make it the process go much faster. The big feet trait help them climb up trees to catch prey.
- With mechanical isolation separating them it created two new species. The water beavers which uses their traits to swim fast and blend in and the land beaver which uses long teeth and big teeth to destroy trees.
