- Samson and Gregory are walking through the street talking about fighting and down talking the montage family.
- Suddenly Abram and another Montague servant walks up to them before he reaches Samson and Gregory, Samson speaks “ Nay as they dare. I will bite my thumb at them, which is a disgrace to them if they bare it.” Abram asks the Capulets if Samson bit his thumb at him and if they were trying to provoke a fight. They get madder and madder,
- They begin to fight until Benvolio interrupt and says “Part you fools!” Benvolio is a peace keeper and doesn’t like that the two families are always fighting, he tries to keep the peace.;
- Tybalt, Juliet’s cousin enters the scene and he speaks of his hate of peace, he wants to fight the Montagues and threatens to kill all Montagues.
- They fight once more and many other citizens enter to fight, the Monatgue family enter as well as the Capulet family. The citizens are forced into the fight to defend themselves.
- Prince Escalus enters and threatens to kil them all if they disturb the peace of the streets of Verona ever again.
