- Persephone is Demeter’s daughter. Demeter can control the harvest. Persephone did not have these powers but helped her mom.
- But one day Persephone was walking around while her mom went to check on the plants, she went to smell the flowers.
- Then the floor opened and out came Hades from the underworld. Then dragged Persephone under. For many days Demeterlooked for her and even asked Zeus to help.
- Back in the underworld Persephone was offered food and refused but she needed to eat and ate 6 pomegranate seeds.
- Zeus had sent a messenger down to collect her.But as she had eaten the seeds she has to stay with Hades in the underworld for 6 months and 6 months with her mom.
- In summer and spring Persephone is with her mother as the seasons are a joyful warm but then Persephone Is with Hades Autumn and Winter come and all the plants shrivel up.
