- Mary Hears The News "Wes Was Caught On A Bank Robbery"

- "a handgun and let off three shots, striking Prothero at point-blank range." The bank robbery had gone too far now, after taking the money and now having shot a police sergeant, Wes and Tony were far too deep in their paths, their lives would be defined as criminals and worse stuff than just drugs. They would be considered as murderers and robbers.
- "Mary's large-screen television was now filled with photos of these suspects... she saw Tony's and Wes's faces staring back at her." This is a whole big thing for Mary, her two son's were now officially criminals and she has to see them from her own eyes going to court, first it was drugs, and now this. Mary would now be known as a criminal's mother, no coming back from that title.
- “On the charge of first-degree felony murder, the jury finds the defendant ... guilty.” Now after facing the judge and the jury, hoping to get some fair justice, Wes now charged with murder realizes the path he should have chosen, and the path he chose which decided his entire future and the decision affected him till the end.
