- Mr k , with our test coming up which is about the last unit , i thought should write some notes to help me study , what should i write down ?
- well , i would say get the basic facts down , such as that a dilation is a transformation that changes the length of all line segments
- lets actually sit down so we can talk about this
- okay Mr K
- also if the scale factor is greater then 1 the image is an enlargement , and if the scale factor is between 0 and 1 the image is a reduction
- okay , so here's some more notes, as said before a dilation is a transformation that produces an image that is the same shape as the original, but is a different size
- one more fact real quick , each angle of the figure is the same as midpoints of the sides of the figure remain the same as the midpoint of the dialted shape
