  • We have had much success taking over these countries. Soon, we will be unstoppable!
  • We can't have the Japanese obtaining too much power. Cut off our oil and steel exports to Japan.
  • General, the Americans have chosen to stop giving us oil and steel.
  • WHAT! This will not go unpunished. Send a air strike to Pearl Harbor. NOW!
  • The Japanese started to take over countries in an effort to become more powerful. This negatively impacted the U.S.
  • Franklin Roosevelt saw that Japan was acquiring more and more power. So, he decide to stop exporting oil and steel to Japan. He believed this would weaken their resources.
  • The Japanese general Isoroku Yamamoto, was furious of the U.S decision. He considered this a direct attack to the Japanese. He decided to send a air strike to Pearl Harbor as retaliation.
  • This is a UNACCEPTABLE act from the Japanese! We shall declare war on them! And get the missles ready, we will show them that America will NOT back down!
  • The Japanese flew to attack Pearl Harbor.
  • The Japanese launched their missles and despite the Americans efforts the ship was blown up.
  • Franklin Roosevelt learns of this terrible tragedy and is outraged. He declares war on Japan and soon after bombs Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
