- Mr. Jones is the owner of Manor farm. He gets drunk and mistreats the animals of the farm. On this occasion he was too drunk to shut the popholes on the farm after locking the henhouses and went to sleep.
- The animals are locked up so it's time for rest.
- Old Major the prize Middle White boar, had a strange dream that he wished to communicate to other animals.
- Come Animals, I need to discuss something!
- The animals gathered in the big barn where Old Major was ready to tell them about his dream.
- Comrades, after twelve years alive, I feel like I haven't got much time left but, before I pass I must tell you all something
- Old Major gave a speech to the Animals about the cruelty and selfishness of human beings, encouraging them to rebel against man.
- Man is our enemy! They treat us like slaves, and make us do their labor. You all need to rebel!
- He tells the animals about his dream which made him remember an old song, by the name of “Beasts of England”. Despite being old and his voice hoarse, he sung the tune for the animals.
- My dream made me remember a song. Its name is "Beasts of England". Let us sing it together!

- The song threw the animals into wild excitement. They all sung the song over and over until it awoke Mr. Jones, who fired rounds of his gun into the darkness breaking up the meeting and sending the animals to sleep.
