- I hope I do not get sick!
- Wow ,I have never been above 4700m, Mont Blanc is nothing compared to this
- As a 14 year old I am ready to summit this challenging mountain, I hope to be one of the youngest to summit Cotopaxi!
- WHAT A COLD MOUNTAIN!
- After Rumiñahui it was time for the final and most risky attempt of the majestic Cotopaxi (5897m / 19,350ft). Everybody was motivated and excited for the attempt
- Cotopaxi was known for being a very challenging mountain because of the altitude. It was a two day climb where the first day you would hike up to the refuge and the second leave at midnight where because of the cold the snow was harder and there was less risk for an avalanche.
- CONGRATS GUYS!
- The day came when we attempted to summit cotopaxi, we left the camping site at 10 am and took a jeep to the base of Cotopaxi, there we ascended to the refuge in less than 30 minutes. The refuge was very cold
- This is not that cold we can continue going!
- We did it ! After 6 hours of suffering, we summitted Cotopaxi!
- I am not feeling well, I am afraid we have to go down
- I do not feel the cold in my left arm hahaha
- At midnight we left the refuge but it started to snow heavily, the climb became very difficult but somehow the team manged to pull through.
- We eventually summitted Cotopaxi at 6:00 am and I became one of the youngest climbers to do so, it is then that I knew that mountaineering would become a key component of my life.
- After Cotopaxi the protests died down and we managed to get back to Quito were my family welcomed me with open arms! Mountains are the most beautifull natural creations there are.
