  • The paleo diet resembles what our human hunter ancestors ate thousands of years ago- whole foods. The basics of the diet is to avoid processed foods, sugar, soft drinks, dairy products, margarine, and trans fat. You eat more of meat, fish, eggs, veggies, fruits, nutds, seeds, herbs, and spices.
  • Cholesterol is the waxy substance in our bodies that plays important roles in the production of hormones, vitamin D, and bile. With high cholesterol, you can develop fat deposits in your blood vessels, and when these grow, it would make it difficult for blood to flow through your arteries. This could lead to a blood clot, heart attack, or stroke.
