The geography of Rome did affect where they built their houses. They were made out of mud-brick.

Romulus and Remus were taken by a bad guy and were left only with each other in a river. They traveled until a wolf saw them and they got taken by the wolf to a cave. They were getting fed and cared by the pack. When they got older they would adventure out farther and farther. When they adventured out, a Shepard saw them and he took them. They got taken to their father, but before that they got taught some Shepard skills.

The influence of engineering was great. They got some techniques from the Etruscan's. They got a technique of the arches. These arches would rest on 2 pillars. And then there was a center stone. This stone held all of the stones up.
influence of writing, art, and religon
They adapted to 2 bloody Etruscan sporting events. Slave fighting and chariot races were part of their sporting events.
The Romans got some inspiration from Greeks. They would use their designs such as the columns.
The Romans were more concerned with their rituals than books about there Gods. Their art was copied off of the Greek pottery. Their writing is a modified version of the Etruscan.
