  • When and were was the the mayan civilization
  • Calender
  • Vulicanization
  • The mayan civilization was in Mexico, modern day Guatemala. It lasted from 1800 B.C. to 250 A.D.
  • Numeral system
  • They created a 365 day calender and there were 5 days that they thought that the gods didn't watch over them and the demons got them. They made the calender and it ended in 2012, so people thought that the world was going to end then, but it didn't.
  • How the Mayan civilization ended (theories)
  • Vulcaniztion is when you melt rubber and another material together to make it more durable. Now we use it today to make tires and other things.
  • Disease
  • That turkey is making me sick. 
  • One of the Mayans biggest achievemnents is the numeral system. They also created the number zero.
  • Theory 1: People believed that they became more warlike and so war could have killed them.Theory 2: Some people believe that disease could haev killed them by spreading through food and people.Theory 3: Other people believe that they went through period of time were food was scarce, so people could have died from that too.Theory 4: The last theory is that they went through environmental change, which could have caused a drought and they could have died from not enough water.
  • I think that disease is what killed everyone. Peregrinus maidis could have spread through all of their crops and plants and killed them, And yellow fever could have spread through all of the people and killed everyone.
