- Malala was beginning to gain popularity because of her fight for equal rights for women, which caused a lot of controversy...
- Minding her own business, a van believed to be linked to the Taliban stops in front of Malala, and shoots her, landing a bullet in her skull.
- Who is Malala?
- Malala was shot and rushed to a hospital in Pakistan
- She was later flown to a hospital in UK and was unconscious for 3 days after the shot hit her head and trailed down her neck
- Malala survived from this attack and went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize in support of equal rights and education for women and minorities
